About the Role
Reporting to the Associate General Counsel, you will provide legal contracts support and advice within the ASPAC region within our Justice and Immigration portfolio.
**Responsibilities will include but are not limited to**:
Provide legal advice on a broad range of contractual and statutory matters
Prepare as appropriate, and otherwise ensure that, all contract documents (including contractual variations, notices and formal correspondence) are accurate and complete and fully comply with Serco policies, procedures and applicable legal requirements
Liaise with internal and external legal advisors in respect of contractual issues and disputes
Advise on disputes including scrutiny from external stakeholders such as the Ombudsman, Privacy Commissioner and Human Rights Commission
**To be successful in this role, you will have**:
The highest level of personal integrity and ethical behaviour
Tertiary qualifications in Law
A minimum 5 years plus post admission experience within a large commercial environment or law firm
Demonstrated commercial experience from within a project or contracts-based environment
Experience in the drafting and interpretation of contracts; and statutory interpretation
Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident
