About the Role
As the Solution Architect, you will lead the design and delivery of end-to-end solutions that meet our business, performance, and security needs.
You'll work closely with engineers, product managers, operations, and stakeholders to ensure our infrastructure is modern, cost-effective, and aligned with security best practices.
In this role you will be responsible for:
Lead end-to-end solution architecture that meets business, security and compliance needs.
Design domain-driven, event-based APIs with clear contracts and tests.
Architect scalable, fault-tolerant systems across cloud and on-prem.
Define reference architectures/patterns and align to Well-Architected principles.
Ensure auditability, regulatory compliance, and resilient distributed operation.
Deliver cloud infrastructure as code (Terraform/CDK) with CI/CD automation.
Optimise cloud environments for performance, reliability and cost; uphold strong security.
Partner with Product/Engineering to translate needs, lead design reviews/POCs, and document clearly.
Implement monitoring (e.g., Datadog), tune performance, drive continuous improvement—using GenAI where it helps.
About You
You're an experienced cloud architect who thrives in complex environments, with the ability to balance business needs with regulatory obligations.
You enjoy solving problems, guiding teams, and making technical decisions that deliver real business impact.
Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in CS/IT, or equivalent hands-on experience.
5+ years' experience in cloud/SaaS solution or cloud architecture roles.
Infrastructure-as-Code capability using Terraform, CloudFormation and/or CDK.
Able to build and operate CI/CD pipelines, including versioning, automated tests and deployment strategies.
Strong grounding in networking, security-by-design and compliance
Experienced with microservices and containers, including Docker and ECS/Fargate (or similar).
Comfortable with observability: metrics, logs and traces using CloudWatch and Datadog, with SLOs/alerts.
Clear communicator and team lead who can translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders; proactive and adaptable in Agile environments.
