Overview
A newly created opportunity exists to join a progressive WA government organisation as a Sustainability Coordinator, helping shape and lead sustainability programs with real impact.
While the head office is based in regional WA, this role can be based in Perth with hybrid working options.
Responsibilities
Leading and coordinating sustainability initiatives across the organisation.
Supporting performance reporting and compliance aligned with ESG and climate-related frameworks.
Driving programs aimed at progressing toward net zero greenhouse gas emissions.
Advising on and embedding sustainability into operations, procurement, and projects.
Managing data, reporting, audits, and policy development.
Partnering with community initiatives and supporting engagement efforts.
Qualifications
A degree-qualified sustainability professional (e.g., Environmental Science, Sustainability, or related).
Proven experience delivering sustainability programs in operational or complex environments.
Strong understanding of ESG principles, regulatory expectations, and sustainability frameworks (GRESB experience desirable).
Excellent stakeholder engagement skills and a solutions-focused mindset.
Strong communicator with experience in reporting, analysis, and problem-solving.
Alignment with working in a values-driven, purpose-led environment.
Ability to travel within WA and interstate as required.
