We are looking for someone who is positive, curious, and passionate about the natural environment. If you have a biodiversity or environment qualification or are near completion of one, you may be our ideal candidate
This role is fundamental in protecting, enhancing and celebrating the sites of biological significance within the Knox municipality. You will also participate in biodiversity community events and activities.
This is a full-time role based at Council's Operations Centre in Knoxfield, classified as a Band 4 role under the KCC Enterprise Agreement, with a remuneration of $73,349.33 to $78,124.95 gross per annum depending on experience, plus superannuation.
Key Selection Criteria
* The position requires proficiency in the operation of more complex knowledge, including local indigenous plant communities, natural resource management practices, bushfire preparedness and fire regimes, plant ecology, pest plant and pest animal management, herbicide use and application.
* Provide biodiversity expertise to the organisation.
* Provide a high commitment to customer service.
* Demonstrate an understanding of the biodiversity values of the natural environment, and the benefits for the local community.
