PROPERTY LEGAL NERD | HELPING PEOPLE BUY AND SELL - QLD | NSW | VIC
JUNIOR PROPERTY SOLICITOR | LAW GRADUATE POSITION
We are seeking an individual who will thrive working in a fast paced, energetic and growing law practice.
As a Junior Solicitor/Law Graduate, you will be provided the opportunity to assist the team and manage conveyancing files from A-Z in a supportive and positive environment.
Overtime there will also be the opportunity to expand interstate and gain exposure to other areas of law.
Holding a law degree is an essential requirement as the role is designed to provide a gateway overtime for a law graduate to advance to a solicitor.
We would also welcome applicants who have previous experience in property law.
Candidates ideally have already completed their PLT and have been admitted as a solicitor in Queensland.
Duties include
Autonomous A-Z conveyancing management in a supportive and nurturing environment
Providing advice on standard and off the plan contracts
Management of complex transfers such as related party transfers and part tenancy transfers
Liaising with real estate agents, banks, industry professionals and clients by telephone and email
The characteristics of the person we are looking for
A willingness to learn and friendly personality who values providing an outstanding level of client service – someone who will go above and beyond to look after our clients and the team is a must
Confidence in building rapport with clients, other lawyers, real estate agents, brokers, banks and industry professionals over the phone and email
Ability to manage critical deadlines and competing priorities with 100% accuracy
Dependable in attendance and completion of accurate work to deadlines
Attention for detail - diligent around the entry of data into systems/forms and the ability to do so efficiently and accurately
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Accurate grammar, punctuation, and spelling skills
Professional attitude, presentation, and phone manner
The ability to work well in a team environment with strong interpersonal and communication skills
Sound knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook (knowledge of LEAP is an advantage but not necessary)
Ability to think laterally and develop solutions without constant reference to lawyers
Maturity to know who to ask, where to go and when the matter is beyond their own expertise
While work in a legal office with conveyancing experience would be wonderful, it is not essential.
If you think you have what it takes, we are more than happy to train the right person.
What we can offer in return
We are not a traditional law firm, and you will not be treated like a number – there is no hierarchy and room for egos in our world.
We have high expectations of our staff, but in return, you will be treated fairly, with respect and like one of our family.
Our ethos is completely centred on providing an exceptional level of service for our clients, while acting ethically, with respect and professionalism.
It is critical that our team members also share this vision.
We are a rapidly growing business, encourage personal development and training, and there are genuine opportunities for career progression and further development for the right person.
