The Opportunity
We are seeking an Ecologist or Environmental Scientistwho is looking to progress their career in environmental consulting. This role offers the chance to contribute to interesting projects across Western Australia and internationally, working within a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
* Conduct ecological fieldwork, including flora and fauna surveys, habitat assessments, and monitoring programs
* Apply ecological knowledge to environmental impact assessments and prepare technical reports
* Provide advice on biodiversity outcomes and environmental compliance, ensuring projects meet regulatory requirements
* Collaborate with clients, regulators, and multidisciplinary teams to deliver practical solutions
About You
Our ideal candidate will have:
* Tertiary qualifications in Environmental Science, Ecology, or a relevant field
* Five to ten years' experience in environmental consulting (highly regarded)
* Experience conducting ecological fieldwork within Western Australia and the ability to apply that knowledge to environmental impact assessment
* Familiarity with environmental legislation, regulatory frameworks, and EIA processes
* Knowledge of WA flora, fauna, and ecosystems
* Experience building positive relationships with colleagues, clients, and government agencies
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with proficiency in GIS and project management
* A proactive, solutions-focused mindset
