About Us

Ward 5D is a 28-bed General Medicine and Rehabilitation ward, currently located at Maitland Hospital in a up-to-date facility with spacious layouts, new equipment, and predominantly single rooms. This creates a positive environment for both patients and staff to thrive.

A typical day is diverse and rewarding, as nurses and allied health staff work closely to care for patients recovering from illness or injury, managing complex conditions, and regaining independence through rehabilitation.

On 5D, you’ll join a supportive, team-focused environment that values open communication, skilled growth, and genuine care. Senior nurses are always available for mentoring, and patients often remark on the calm and welcoming atmosphere we create together.

Orientation & Training

- Supernumerary shifts to help you settle in, meet the team, and learn the routine.
