Star Hotels Group is continuing to grow rapidly and have an opportunity for a new member of the finance team to join us on the ride.
Star is Queensland's largest independent hotel group with more than 55+ Accommodation sites and pubs, and leading retail liquor operator with 120+ liquor outlets.
The successful candidate will possess a can-do attitude and have high attention to detail.
The position will be based in our Support office at Brisbane, where you will be welcomed and well supported by the rest of our finance team.
Key Responsibilities Include:
Working with our front-line teams and our suppliers to achieve smooth operations and efficient processing
Accurate transaction processing and reconciliation for multiple entities in a timely manner
Full creditors and debtors processes
Bank & other Balance Sheet reconciliations
Monthly / Quarterly BAS preparation
Preparation of month end accruals and prepayment journals
Ad Hoc accounting assistance as required
Key Attributes you will ideally possess:
Bookkeeping or accounting experience; Retail or Hospitality industry experience would be highly regarded.
Previous experience with Xero and D365 BC is preferred but not essential
Highly organised and ability to meet deadlines
Ability to work independently while still having the support of a team environment
Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve
