**Your current role**
This position includes all operational excellence processes, quality improvement and compliance efforts. Responsible for establishing plans, policies and procedures at all levels to ensure quality of good and services meet or exceed internal and external customer needs and expectations.
Key Responsibilities;
- Ensure Product Releases are accomplished timely and within all compliance standards
- Ensure Proper inspection and disposition of product/components
- Ensure the necessary resources are coordinated and properly allocated to issues, projects and products
- Develop and implement quality management strategies
- Lead and guide initiatives in continuous improvement using suitable lean activities.
- Assures all operations are conducted in a manner that achieves and maintains AS9100 (or relevant QMS) certification.
- Assure implementation, maintenance and operation of an effective Corrective and Preventative Action (CAPA) system.
- Manage external, internal, and supplier quality audits.
- Manage the supplier quality management activity.
**What you'll need to succeed**
- Degree in Engineering or related field.
- Experience with leading and managing the quality function in the medical device, aviation, defence and/or automotive field.
- Knowledge of QSR, ISO9001, AS/EN9100 regulations and lean manufacturing principles
- Strong computer knowledge, including Microsoft Office & QMS (e.g. Tip QA)
- Lean or Auditing qualifications highly desirable
- Ability to hold NV1 Clearance (Australian citizen)
