Gladstone Hospital is an 83-bed hospital and offers a range of general and specialist inpatient and outpatient services including emergency, general medicine and surgery, basic orthopaedic, clinical investigation, obstetrics, maternity, gynaecology, high dependency and coronary care, palliative care, medical imaging, pathology and paediatrics.
About the role:
To effectively coordinate and process approved patient travel needs in accordance with the Queensland Health Travel and Accommodation Policy and Standards.
Coordinate approved patient travel and process travel claims in a timely manner, in accordance with established policies and guidelines.
Provide advice to clients about eligibility requirements and travel options.
Assist in the reconciliation and preparation for payments of accounts.
Participate in the development, implementation, review and maintenance of internal systems, processes and work practices.
Identify areas for improvement and recommend enhancements to existing practices.
About you:
Proven ability or ability to quickly acquire and apply knowledge of relevant standards, policies and procedures.
Ability to understand and react responsively to client expectations.
Knowledge of or the ability to rapidly acquire knowledge of administrative procedures and policies and standards in a travel environment.
Sound oral communication and conflict resolution skills, and the ability to liaise effectively with a broad range of client groups.
What we offer:
Total monthly remuneration value of up to $4,882 p.m. is comprised of:
An hourly rate between $ $43.16 p.h.
