Offer description

Housing Plus is a leading NFP Community Services Provider with a 30+ year history, providing housing, domestic violence, homelessness, and other community services in NSW. With offices in Orange, Bathurst, Mudgee, Dubbo, and Parkes, and services reaching the Central, Western, and Hunter regions of NSW, our purpose is to achieve healthy, engaged, and vibrant communities where individuals can thrive and build a promising future for their families.

We are seeking a part-time Case Worker to join our Staying Home Leaving Violence (SHLV) program based in Balranald .

This position is responsible for delivering high-quality case management activities to enable women and children to remain safe and free from domestic violence in their own homes, maintaining safety over time. The program emphasizes early intervention and prevention to prevent homelessness and promote long-term stability in housing, income, employment, education, and social support networks.

The Case Worker will establish and maintain collaborative partnerships with key stakeholders to ensure effective service referral pathways, facilitating women’s ability to stay safely at home after separation from domestic violence, and raising awareness of alternative accommodation options for those excluded from traditional housing options.

To succeed, you will need strong experience in Community Services, ideally within the DFV sector; proven ability to deliver client services professionally and sensitively to clients experiencing emotional distress; well-developed communication skills; and demonstrated experience in identifying key stakeholders and building effective relationships.

In return, we offer the opportunity to contribute significantly to our organization and community, along with learning and development opportunities, health and well-being programs, rewards and recognition, and salary packaging.

Please include in your application a cover letter outlining why the role interests you and how you meet the above requirements.

This is a part-time position (22.5 hours/week) on a Maximum Term Contract until 30 June 2026.

The Case Worker is classified as a Level 4.1 under the SCHADS Award, with a salary of $85,355 gross per annum (full-time equivalent). Salaries will increase annually in line with pay points in the Award. As a Not for Profit, Housing Plus offers excellent salary sacrifice options to increase your take-home pay!

Being a woman is a genuine occupational qualification for SHLV work, and this position is exempted under s.31 of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1977 for this purpose.

Applicants identifying as Aboriginal are encouraged to apply.

We will start screening and interviewing suitable candidates as applications are received, so we encourage you to apply promptly.
