* Full-time appointment on a fixed term basis till December 2030.
* Base salary range: Level B, $118,150 – $139,812 p.a. (pro-rata) plus 17% superannuation.

About the area

The School of Social Sciences offers a rich learning and research environment spanning a number of disciplinary and interdisciplinary themes with a focus on the applied social sciences. As well as undergraduate and postgraduate programs, the School supports an active research program.

The School hosts a research flagship in Archaeology, with globally-visible researchers, networks, and an award-winning Archaeology teaching program. About the opportunity

o Deliver innovative, high-quality undergraduate teaching in Archaeology, contribute to curriculum development, and supervise students at all levels while fostering graduate employability through placements and partnerships.
o Conduct and publish independent, high-impact research relevant to Australia, contribute to world-class research initiatives, and seek external research funding to build a nationally recognised research profile.
o Support the University's values and diversity initiatives, contribute to collegial and administrative responsibilities, and actively engage with schools, industry, and community stakeholders to enhance the discipline’s impact.

About you

o PhD in an academic field relevant to the discipline or other higher professional qualifications appropriate to their discipline.
o Demonstrated commitment to delivering innovative teaching approaches, assessment and materials for units and courses in Archaeology.
o Evidence of a commitment to designing and promoting innovative use of technology in delivering teaching and assessment.
o An emerging research profile.
o Demonstrated commitment to embedding UWA’s core values of openness, honesty, tolerance, fairness and responsibility in all aspects of work.
