We believe in putting people first and we are proud to have developed a work culture that fosters growth, collaboration and success.About the roleCFO Advisory Services sits within the Audit & Assurance service line at RSM, providing a variety of services from finance transformation and reporting tools implementations to financial reporting and technical accounting advisory for clients across a diverse range of industries.Senior Consultants in CFO Advisory Services have responsibilities for delivering client projects, developing and coaching team members and working directly with managers and partners in a growing team.
The role will involve extensive client contact scoping and delivering projects that require a high level of advisory input and provides an opportunity to expand both your accounting and technology skillsets as they apply to finance functions.You will work as part of multi-disciplinary teams providing finance function and accounting insights including financial and management reporting, audit readiness, finance function assessment, accounting change, accounting policies and procedures, reporting tools and regulatory compliance.Key responsibilitiesWork in a team to deliver projects ensuring delivery in line with client expectations, timelines and budgetDevelop self and team through coaching and client experiences contributing to the growth of the wider groups' technical and client interaction capabilitiesDevelop project management capabilities, report writing, technology and client relationship skills in delivering projectsAssist with business development initiatives contributing to thought leadership and proposalsAssist with co-ordination of the CFO Advisory Services team including but not limited to resourcing and trainingExperience & attributesBachelor degree or equivalent in accounting, commerce or financeCA qualified or equivalent (or substantially complete)3+ years experience in either professional services, commerce or mix of bothAccounting advisory, finance transformation, reporting tools automation, financial reporting, management accounting, project management and/or audit experienceGood communication and client relationship skillsAbility to work autonomously and as part of a teamEnthusiasm to develop new skills across finance and technologyExperience in the application of the Corporations Act, Australian Accounting Standards and other applicable legislationSelf motivated, ethical and dependableComputer literacy in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and Visio and reporting toolsPower BI, Alteryx, Microsoft Dynamics, Oracle and other ERP experienceLease accounting, treasury accounting and exposure to complex accounting topicsLife at RSMRSM provides a great environment to build skills and confidence and we help our people achieve their best.
