**The Highlights**:
Join a dynamic and innovative team at Bluey's World, a world-first children's experience in Northshore, Hamilton. This is a build-phase role with a short handover into the operational phase. During the build phase, your focus is on adhering to the production schedule and executing the site design as planned.

Build commences: 10 June

Build completes: 7 Nov

**General Duties**

**Representation and Professionalism**:

- Represent AKM, HVK, Bluey's World, and all critical stakeholders, focusing on adhering to and executing the production schedule.
- Adhere to appropriate dress codes for physical work during the build phase and wear neat, smart black clothing or supplied uniforms during the event phase if applicable.

**Health and Safety Responsibilities**:

- Adhere to high Work Safety standards in line with WHS Legislation.
- Ensure the preservation of public property and the natural environment.
- Only work with relevant skills, knowledge, training, and experience or under proper supervision.
- Conduct safety checks for any tools, plant and access equipment before use.
- Be aware of health and safety risks on-site and follow site rules and procedures.
- Report any risks promptly to the site manager or your supervisor.
- Clean as you go, dispose of waste correctly, use tools correctly, and wear Hi-Viz and adequate PPE.

**Attendance and Communication**:

- Arrive promptly for shifts, sign in/out diligently, and ask for help when unsure about tasks.
- Attend all daily safety briefings (toolbox talks) as required.
- Regularly liaise with supervisors for additional tasks when not busy.
- Direct public enquiries to a member of the management team.

**Production Activities**:

- Assist with site build activities directed by the site management team, including, but not limited to, lifting, carrying, painting, installation of site infrastructure, décor, furniture, general maintenance, unloading trucks, rigging of flown elements, plumbing infrastructure, basic carpentry, and assisting technical staff with lighting, sound, and AV equipment.
- Troubleshoot any site issues that may arise.
- Assist in securing the site nightly, including locking all containers, venue doors, and gates.
- Contribute to the ongoing planning of maintenance activities.
- Any other tasks directed by the Production Management team or General Manager as may reasonably be expected.

**Incident Reporting and Hazard Management**:

- Report any risks promptly to the site manager or your supervisor.
- Identify and assist in completing any reports on-site for incidents, hazards, or near misses.
- Collaborate with Site Management and other relevant personnel to eliminate identified hazards and maintain a safe work environment.
- Promote a culture of safety awareness and compliance among all site workers.

**Tool Management and Site Neatness**:

- Maintain cleanliness of welfare amenities.
- Label HVK equipment, assets, and set pieces for a smooth rebuild and asset protection.
- Ensure the Workshop area is tidy and organised, and equipment is back in the right spot each day.
- Use tools correctly and return them after use to the store area.
- Clean the working area as you complete each section.
- HVK will provide all necessary tools for completing tasks. Personal tools are not required. However, if you choose to bring your own, you are welcome to do so at your own risk.

**Specific Duties - Scenic Installer**

**Coordinating with Production Management Team**:

- Work closely with Look & Feel Coordinator to install look & feel elements at the venue and on-site locations.
- Support Look & Feel Coordinator with workshops bringing in different scenic and props elements. Ensure seamless integration of all the different segments.
- Assist Look & Feel Coordinator in ensuring a smooth exhibition installation.

**Team Management**:

- Assist in supervising all crew reporting to you, ensuring the completion of tasks and objectives set by your line managers.
- Help facilitate all crew reporting to you, ensuring effective communication and coordination among other team members.
- Contribute to creating daily to-do lists and ensuring the crew takes appropriate breaks and maintains productivity.

**Expertise Skill**:

- Mix paint to match design specifications.
- Paint, form, and decorate scenery, using designs and renderings as inspiration. Work with various types of paint and materials, including wood, steel, foam, plastics, and fabric.
- Install flooring including carpet, vinyl, and other floor coverings.
- Install signage, props, and furniture.
- Construct scenery from design and construction specifications as directed.
- Research new materials and techniques to fulfil designers' concepts.
- Responsible for daily maintenance and safe storage of painting and decorative equipment.
- Sewing of fabrics.
