BrightSmiles is a friendly, patient-focused dental practice serving the Sunshine Coast community in Currimundi. We pride ourselves on delivering high-quality care in a welcoming environment. As we continue to grow, we’re looking for a driven and organised Senior Receptionist to lead our team and help take the practice to the next level working along side both of our senior Dentists.
The Role
This is a key senior position responsible for the smooth day-to-day running of BrightSmiles Currimundi. You’ll oversee all operational, administrative, and people management functions — working closely with our principal dentist to drive practice performance, ensure an outstanding patient experience, and foster a positive team culture.
This role suits someone who thrives in a fast-paced clinical environment, brings strong business acumen, and genuinely cares about people — both patients and staff.
Key Responsibilities
• Oversee daily practice operations, scheduling, and patient flow
• Assisting to Lead, mentor, and manage reception and dental assistant teams
• Drive patient experience initiatives and handle escalated concerns
• Manage accounts, invoicing, and end-of-day reconciliation
• Monitor KPIs and practice performance metrics, reporting to the principal dentists and business manager
• Coordinate staff rostering, leave management, and recruitment
• Oversee stock, equipment, and supplier relationships
• Ensure compliance with infection control, WH&S, and regulatory requirements
• Manage practice management software and patient communications
• Support marketing activities including online reviews, social media, and local promotions
What We’re Looking For
• Proven experience in a dental or medical practice management role — essential
• Strong leadership skills with experience managing small teams
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• High level of organisation and ability to manage competing priorities
• Proficiency in dental practice management software (Praktika, Exact, Dental4Windows or similar)
• Sound understanding of Medicare, DVA, and health fund billing
• Solid financial acumen, including accounts reconciliation and reporting
• Knowledge of WH&S and infection control obligations in a dental setting
• A warm, professional manner with a genuine commitment to patient care
