A key role within our organization is available for an Infrastructure and Backend Software Engineer to maintain and ensure the effective running of past, present, and future Experience Design (ED) projects. This position is ideal for someone looking to leverage and further develop their existing skills in maintaining and updating systems, contributing to new feature development on existing backend systems, preferably using Python. The role will also involve identifying opportunities for efficiency with our existing and future infrastructure and provide the opportunity to broaden your experience given you'll be working across a range of projects with different technologies.
This role will be Melbourne-based, with an expectation of working from our Collingwood office for one or two days per week to enable in-person collaboration with your people leader.
Key Responsibilities:
* Maintain and update systems within AWS environments
* Manage servers and have familiarity with tools such as Docker
* Perform support activities on legacy projects
* Develop backend features using Python
* Work across multiple projects and technologies, expanding your skillset
* Use good judgment, knowing when to take action and when to escalate
* Solve problems, navigating new scenarios confidently
* Be flexible and adjust priorities sensibly depending on the situation
* Learn new processes and systems quickly
