Job Description

Reporting to the Head of HR ANZ, you will provide high‐quality operational HR support across multiple Australian business units. A majority of this role is focused on disciplinary matters, performance management, investigations, and employee relations, making it a critical role supporting frontline leaders. You will work closely with site and operational leaders, advising on award and EA compliance while ensuring fair, consistent, and legally sound people practices. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

* Act as a trusted advisor to leaders and employees, providing practical, compliant advice on HR policies, procedures, awards, and enterprise agreements
* Lead and manage employee relations matters, including performance management, disciplinary processes, investigations, grievances, and conflict resolution (primary focus of the role)
* Partner with operational leaders to ensure consistent and fair application of people practices across business units
* Support and improve end‐to‐end recruitment and onboarding processes, ensuring a smooth transition from candidate to employee
* Maintain accurate and compliant employee records within HRIS and related systems, supporting reporting and audit requirements
* Contribute to learning and development initiatives to build leadership capability and workforce effectiveness
* Assist with the development and delivery of HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives, including system and process enhancements
* Ensure compliance with employment legislation, company policies, and safety‐critical requirements
* Support organizational change, workforce planning, and change management activities as the business continues to grow

The Successful Applicant

To be successful in this role, you will have:

* 5+ years' experience as an HR Generalist/HR Advisor or HRBP, with strong exposure to employee and industrial relations in complex, operational environments.
* Experience within blue‐collar industries, such as manufacturing, construction, transport, energy, or natural resources.
* Demonstrated expertise in performance management and disciplinary processes, including investigations, grievance handling, and interpretation of awards and enterprise agreements (a core focus of this role).
* Strong knowledge of Australian employment legislation and IR practices, with the confidence to provide pragmatic, compliant advice.
* A confident stakeholder management style, enabling you to influence and support operational leaders at all levels.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships across the business.
* A highly organised and proactive approach, capable of managing competing priorities in a fast‐paced, high‐volume environment.
* A strong attention to detail and a solutions‐focused mindset, with the ability to meet deadlines and resolve issues effectively.
* Willingness to travel interstate as required, supported by a valid driver's licence and access to your own vehicle.
* A relevant tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Business, or a related discipline.

Systems Experience

* Proficiency in Microsoft Office
* Experience using HRIS and employee data systems (UKG experience highly regarded)
* Exposure to Injury Management systems
* Experience supporting or participating in enterprise management system implementations will be highly valued

* Full‐time office presence preferred, reflecting the operational nature of the role
* 1 day per week WFH available following probation (after 6-9 months; not Mondays or Fridays)
