Digital Media Advisor
Join our team and help shape Council's digital presence We are seeking a passionate and skilled Digital Media Advisor to lead and enhance Council's online communication strategies. This role is pivotal in ensuring our corporate initiatives and services are effectively promoted and embraced by the community.
About this opportunity:
* Maintain and improve Council's corporate website for usability and performance.
* Supervise social media officers and provide training to staff on website software.
* Develop and implement strategies for Council's web presence and social media platforms.
* Design and create engaging digital artwork for online channels.
* Analyse web metrics and recommend improvements.
* Manage multiple projects, schedules, and budgets effectively.
* Liaise with IT and internal stakeholders to ensure digital platforms meet Council needs.
* Administer and update Council's social media accounts (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, etc.).
* Assist with Council events and other communications initiatives.
Essential Qualifications, Experience & Skills:
* Tertiary qualifications in communications, multimedia, or IT OR 5+ years' experiencein web project management.
* Strong skills in HTML, CSS, Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
* Experience with content management systems and social media strategy.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
* Creative design knowledge and attention to detail.
