Your opportunity
Join Southern Cross Analytical Research Services (SCARS) as a Quality Assurance Coordinator and play a pivotal role in ensuring compliance, quality, and continuous improvement across our cutting-edge research and commercial laboratories. You will work closely with multi-disciplinary teams to implement quality management practices, support audits, and contribute to the development of robust policies and procedures. This role is ideal for someone with a keen eye for detail, strong organisational skills, and a passion for maintaining high-quality standards in a dynamic, scientific environment.
You will make an impact by:
* Championing continuous improvement initiatives across SCARS and preparing actionable reports for leadership
* Develop and implement Record Management procedures, including retention and disposal of records and support the document management system to operate effectively
* Contribute to the maintenance of policy, procedures, work instructions, projects and other initiatives, which supports the strategies, quality and continuous improvement agenda of SCARS
* Contribute to the maintenance of the quality management system, including assisting with audits of the quality management system in accordance with standard and regulatory requirements. Ensure preparation and compliance for third party audits
What you will bring
You're an organised, detail-oriented professional with experience in quality-managed environments. You thrive in collaborative settings, enjoy problem-solving, and are committed to delivering outcomes that meet regulatory and organisational standards. To succeed in this role, you will also need:
* A relevant scientific degree and at least two years in a quality assurance role or equivalent
* Experience in working with recognised quality standards and implemented accreditation processes, with a thorough understanding of Good Manufacturing Practice Guidelines (GMP)
* Ability to independently prioritise tasks in an environment of competing demands
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the proven ability to effectively engage stakeholders

Your opportunity is:
* Part-time (31.5 hours per week), fixed term (12 months)
* Located at Lismore, NSW 2480
* HEW Level 5. The base salary ranges from $75,206 - $83,571 per annum, plus 17% employer's contribution to superannuation. The total remuneration package is up to $97,778.
