Key Responsibilities include producing and delivering mine plans and Mining Instructions. Ensure all plans are delivered to Operations team which are practical and executable.
Maintain Daily spatial compliance of Operating Key performance areas. Communicate the mine production plans to all relevant personnel to foster awareness of targets and directions for the Mining Operation.
Incorporate feedback across all horizons of the operation into the designs.
Liaise with all aspects of operations to ensure communication of production plans.
Assist with End of Month operational Reporting and reconciliations.
Ensure the drill and blast procedures are up to date and provide optimum balance between safe and economical Production.
Carry out project work under the direction of the Planning Superintendent/Senior Engineers.
Ensure the geological and survey departments are informed of the operation's requirements and priorities towards drill and blast.
Knowledge of the Mines Safety and Inspection Act and Regulations is required.
The ideal candidate will possess a Degree in Mining Engineering or equivalent from a recognized tertiary institution. A current 'C' Class Western Australian Driver's License is also necessary.
A proven track record of experience in underground mining operations is essential.
National Police Clearance and ability to pass a pre-employment medical is required.
Preferred candidates will have extensive experience in underground mining operations, previous management and statutory leadership experience, strong leadership and communication skills at all levels.
Analytical mindset with excellent reporting abilities, high-level planning skills and attention to detail are highly regarded.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Deswik software is desired.
Adaptability to evolving industry practices and procedures is key.
