About the Role
We are seeking an experienced professional to join our Employee Wellbeing Team in a full-time, permanent position. As part of our People and Culture team, you will inspire staff to achieve Curtin's vision of becoming a leading Global University.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and lead wellbeing initiatives and activities for the university
* Assist in reviewing our existing Wellbeing Strategy, aligning it with our university's overarching Strategic Plan
* Manage non-work-related illnesses/matters
* Maintain relationships with employees, leaders, and external providers, including our Employee Assistance Provider (EAP)
* Collaborate with the HR Business Partnering team and the Health and Safety and Injury Management team
* Support initiatives and events with our internal Employee Wellbeing Champion network
* Engage in case management
* Develop return-to-work plans
* Coordinate accessibility requests/requirements
* Arrange independent medical examinations (as required)
* Coordinate special leave requests
* Organize training for Mental Health First Aid
* Produce regular reports
* Coordinate events
Qualifications and Experience
* Hold a relevant postgraduate qualification with extensive experience, preferably in Human Resources, Psychology, or Counselling
* Prior experience working in a similar role is preferred
* Prior experience working in a People and Culture team is preferred, but not essential
* Demonstrate comfort presenting to medium to large groups
* Prior experience driving and implementing employee wellbeing initiatives is preferred
* Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills and ability to establish partnerships and build effective relationships with stakeholders
