About The Role FTI Capital Advisers, the global investment banking division of FTI Consulting, provides a range of advisory services to corporates, lenders and sponsors across M&A, capital raise and financial advisory services often where there is an additional layer of complexity when compared to vanilla transactions. Typical services include: M&A: Advising on both buy-side and sell-side transactions, including distressed M&A scenarios Capital raising: Assisting in private placements of debt and equity, as well as debt capital markets advisory Strategic advisory: Providing guidance on capital structure, strategic alternatives, and other considerations with respect to transactions The team also works closely with and provides support to FTI Consulting’s broader Corporate Finance segment which focusses on our client’s strategic, operational, financial and capital needs, and addresses the full spectrum of financial and transactional opportunities and challenges managed by their boards, management teams, private equity sponsors, lenders, and other stakeholders. What You’ll Do As a Senior Consultant or Director with 3 to 6 years of experience, you will be expected to undertake the following alongside the team: Financial modelling: Build and review complex 3 statement models, DCF, LBO, accretion / dilution analysis and merger models; Valuation methodologies: DCF, public comps, precedent transactions, and other methodologies; Accounting: Strong understanding of financial statements, accounting principles and working capital mechanics including familiarity with key transaction issues; Transaction execution: Drafting information memorandums and process materials together with dataroom management, due diligence coordination and process management; and Business development: Support on business development initiatives including sector screening, prospecting for new mandates and network building. What You'll Need to Succeed Qualifications & Experience 3-6 years of relevant experience in a corporate finance, M&A advisory, debt advisory, or relevant experience from similar roles; CFA and/or CA/CPA qualification preferred, but not essential; Strong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic-thinking skills; Strong financial modelling and presentation-style report writing experience is preferable; Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders; Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and other team members; and Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
