We have over 10,000 employees ready to serve you on your next wind project.Nordex Oceania Pty Ltd is the Australian subsidiary of the Nordex Group, which was established in Australia to further expand the business and offer a truly global presence in all major wind markets in the world. Nordex has been operating in the Australian market for six years with a commendable history of developing local Australian workforce for the Australian wind industry. Past Projects under Nordex in Australia include the 35 wind turbine Mortlake South Wind Farm (VIC), and the 44 wind turbine Mt Gellibrand Wind Farm (VIC), which have made significant contributions to local communities. With a total of 162 Nordex Delta 4000-N163/5.7 turbines and 924MW total output, the MacIntyre Wind Farm will be Nordex’s biggest single wind farm facility globally and one of the largest onshore wind farms in the world. The project will generate enough renewable energy to power over 700,000 households with almost 3 million tons of CO2 avoided, as well as provide significant economic activity across the Goondiwindi, Southern Downs and Toowoomba Regional Council areas.About the RoleThe Technical Support Specialist & Trainer will carry out work in the Mortlake and Macintyre wind farms in Australia. The Technical Support Specialist and Trainer's responsibilities are commissioning, fault clearance and maintenance of the wind turbines, as well as training and Level 1 technical support responsibilities.ResponsibilitiesProvide first level local escalation and support for technical service queries;Train new service technicians in D4k technology and certify technicians as Nordex qualified;Regularly provide training updates where appropriate or where new or updated procedures are implemented by the Nordex GroupEnsure all relevant service technician training and qualifications are properly maintained;Analyze defects with phone-contact to service coordinator;Autonomous simple repairs of turbines, troubleshooting and fault-finding;Carry out complex repair processes in collaboration with the Lead Technician;Collecting data and performing tests;Fill in reports and checklists in order to completely informLocal Operation Manager;Standard monitoring of booked service reports and steering of service process to book expenses correctly;Guarantee that tasks are realized with high quality and on time;Realization of tasks in the most economical way for Nordex;Responsible for material, tools and property of Nordex;Carry out tasks in accordance with Nordex manuals and regulations; andKeep all H&S related instructions and guidelines and work safety for material and personnel.Skills & ExperienceMid-level Electrical and/or mechanical education;Minimum of five years of wind hydraulic, electrical, or mechanical experience;Excellent troubleshooting experienceExperienced to use data processing adequately;Good English language skills (read, write and speak fluently);Teamwork, collaboration and willingness to take over responsibility;Quick grasp and capable of making decisions;Ability to solve problems;Think strategically and analytically;Flexibility and willingness to travel on a regular basis;Computer literate, able to use MS Office, SAP and in-house database and workload management systems;Resilience & tolerance of frustration;Readiness for training; andAble to work in high altitudes.Fully trained as a Nordex Delta 4000 wind turbine technician trainerAdditionally, a minimum of 2 years experience with Nordex Delta is requiredHow to applyIf you are interested, please apply now with your updated CV.For further information please contact Darryl Read onDarryl.read@acrworld.com
