Aboriginal Health Care Professional
This is a challenging and rewarding role for a skilled nurse practitioner to deliver high-quality patient care in rural communities.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide comprehensive care to patients with acute and chronic presentations, addressing their physical, emotional, and social needs.
* Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to deliver patient-centered care, focusing on prevention and early intervention.
* Develop effective partnerships with community organizations, healthcare providers, and stakeholders to address health disparities and improve outcomes.
* Contribute to clinical excellence through research, education, and leadership, promoting best practices and quality improvement initiatives.
The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of the social determinants of health, cultural safety, and trauma-informed care. They will be able to work effectively with diverse populations, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, people living with disabilities, and culturally and linguistically diverse groups.

Requirements:
* Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and current practicing certificate as a Nurse Practitioner or working towards endorsement as a Nurse Practitioner.
* 3 months to enrol in the Masters of Nurse Practitioners course after commencement.
* Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with proven ability to use teaching/learning strategies to educate and support others within the speciality and the profession.
* Understanding of current issues impacting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander populations, including socioeconomic factors, cultural barriers, and historical trauma.
