PCR Polyweld are currently seeking applicants for Trades Assistants, Polywelders & Operators Site Based Positions in the Bowen Basin.
These roles are only open to applicants from Mackay, Townsville, Rockhampton, and Bowen Basin areas and is strictly DIDO.
About the roles:
* Casual, Opportunity for full time employment.
* DIDO from Mackay/ Surrounds.
* Dayshift only. Various Rosters available. Weekly Pay's. Access to Employee Assistance Program.
* Camp accommodation & Meals provided.
* Polywelding including but not limited to: Buttwelding up to 1000mm, predominately using HF630 & HF350 Dixon Machines, Electrofusion welding, Installation/ commissioning, and working to plans/ drawings.
* Operating is predominately Telehandler, backhoe, excavator, however Crane Ticket/ experience is well desired. Operator role also requires on the ground work, including Polywelding, and other tasks.
* Trades assistants will be assisting with a range of tasks, including but not limited to polywelding, pipework fabrication, dewatering activities, assisting field fitters, CHPP maintenance. On the job taining will be provided and opportunity for career growth/ progression.
Successful candidates must hold, or be willing to obtain:
* Previous mine site experience preferred
* Standard 11 Surface
* Current Coal Board Medical
* Drug & Alcohol test and Functional Assessment (To be completed in onboarding)
* Drivers Licence
* PMBWELD301 & PMBWELD302 if applying for Polywelder role.
* Relevant equipment RII's / HRWL if applying for Operator role.
* Chainsaw RII preferred
* Display an enthusiastic work ethic and be self-motivated
* Want to work as part of a team and help each other to succeed
* Be willing to work away from home, on varying rosters.
* Ensure compliance with site policy & PCR Polyweld policies (ie.: SLAMS/ Take 5's, Safety Obs, Toolbox/ Prestart Talks, hazard & defect reporting)
* Ensure safe work operation & have a commitment to Safety.
