One way we bring this to life is by hiring and developing exceptional talent, to deliver on our wide array of audit, tax and advisory services.**About the Role**We are looking for an up-and-coming Consultant to join our growing Real Estate Advisory practice based in Melbourne to deliver and advise on significant projects within the Real Estate and Infrastructure space.You will have the opportunity to work across a diverse range of projects nationally, whilst gaining experience in property advisory engagements and transactions across a wide range of asset classes.**About the Team**BDO’s Project & Infrastructure Advisory team are industry leaders in the planning and delivery of city and region shaping infrastructure projects and have recently launched a recent national Real Estate Advisory offering.Our Real Estate Advisory team works with government and private sector clients across a range of sectors including residential development, social and affordable housing, Built to Rent (BTR), transport, health, as well as across traditional asset classes.With unprecedented expenditure across a range of these sectors coupled with our market leading experience and deep industry networks, our team is growing and is looking for new and exciting individuals to join.**Key responsibilities:**Work as part of the team responsible for the on-time and on-budget delivery of engagements including:* Valuation advice* Development Feasibilities* Acquisitions & Disposals* Transaction management* Strategic Real Estate Advice* Financial modelling and analysis* Report writing* Share awareness of the broader real estate market environment and industry trends across other divisions of the firm and our clients**About You**Our ideal candidate is someone who is a couple years out of university and will have some experience in the property research and valuation sector with the intention to obtaining their valuation licence.Specific skillsets in the successful candidate include:* Some real estate market analysis, sales analysis and research* Ability to provide financial and commercial real estate advice* Some property acquisition and disposal experience* Good understanding and experience in dealing with property leases* Can ideally navigate current planning schemes, understand property fundamentals and industry participants.* Digital proficiency in commercial real estate platforms, such as Argus Estate Master, and financial modelling and analysis in excel* Certified Practising Valuer Accreditation (or working towards it)You will also ideally have the following:* Strong collaboration skills gained from working across multi-disciplinary teams involved in the delivery of real estate projects* An understanding of real estate related technical competencies and ability to interpret technical reports* Previous experience and/or exposure to general real estate advisory across government and/or the private sector* Capability in delivering property valuations, real estate advisory and/or market research reports* Well-developed report writing and proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel* Tertiary qualifications in either property economics or another real estate focussed degree,* Real Estate Licence (desirable)* Experience in real estate advisory and/or project management (desirable)Working for BDO you will be part of a growing and market leading professional services firm.
