We are currently partnering with a large ASX-listed retailer that services millions of customers daily through its extensive physical footprint and growing online platforms. This Commercial Finance Manager role will act as a key advisor to the business and drive performance across major capital programs. You will play a critical role in ensuring large-scale capital investments deliver their intended value and meet long-term strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
* Maintain ownership of finance data architecture supporting performance analytics.
* Ensure accuracy, consistency and integrity across large, complex datasets; champion continuous improvement in reporting systems, automation and data workflows.
* Act as a commercial partner to senior leaders, identifying opportunities to maximise value from capital investments
* Lead structured reviews of completed projects to assess performance against forecasted returns. Ensure investment cases are commercially robust, with clear benefit tracking and measurable ROI outcomes
* Own the cadence of performance reporting across core capital programs, identifying trends, risks and upside opportunities
* Manage a small team of data analysts and data scientists
Skills and Experience:
* 5-10 years' experience in a strategic, commercial, or financial analysis role in similar capacity
* Extensive experience managing and optimising large datasets
* Advanced skills in SQL, Tableau, Excel, and SAP.
* Strong verbal communication skills, with the ability to present to senior stakeholders including GM and C-suite level
* Background within capital-intensive retail, FMCG, or large multi-site environments highly regarded.
