Injury Management Specialists play a vital role in maintaining a safe and healthy work environment. This position is integral to providing subject matter expertise on workplace injury management and recovery practices.
About the Role:
This is a hybrid role offering work from home flexibility, as well as in-office time at our North Parramatta location close to public transport. As an Injury Management Specialist, you will own injury claims within the organisation and have a hands-on approach to working with injured workers, employers, medical providers, and stakeholders.
Your Responsibilities:
- Provide first-level advice to managers and employees on work health and safety matters
- Facilitate timely sustainable return-to-work outcomes through best practice injury management approaches
- Conduct incident investigations, identify contributing factors, and monitor workers compensation claims costs
- Coach site managers on injury management principles, return-to-work obligations, and processes
About You:
- Strong understanding of injury management, rehabilitation, and return-to-work practices, including relevant legislation and guidance material
- Experience in managing psychological claims and relevant tertiary qualifications in Work Health and Safety or a related business discipline
- 5+ years' experience in workers compensation claims administration and/or consultancy
- Demonstrated skills in incident investigation, risk assessment, relationship building, and influencing
