Nic and Kolo is an Award Winning cafe in the Applecross Village, exclusively showcasing fresh WA produce through an approachable, contemporary and Asian fusion menu in a modern and relaxed atmosphere. We are open 7 days/week from 7 am to 3 pm for Brunch. Nic and Kolo is fully licensed.
We are opening a new venture and we are seeking for a skilled and experienced Pastry Cook to join our kitchen team. If you have at least two years experience as a qualified Pastry Chef in a quality establishment, contact us.
The successful applicant for this position will:
Have relevant qualification in pastry, baking, or commercial cookery, or equivalent industry experience
Strong knowledge of pastry techniques and baking processes
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment
Have knowledge in sourdough craft
Have experience to train staff
Be a team player, hold a positive view on teamwork and strive to motivate team and co-workers
Be able to work in all areas of the kitchen and take an active role in helping develop our new pastry menus which may change seasonally
Have excellent communication skills and be well organised
Must be willing and available to work weekends and early shifts (including public holidays)
Ensure all food preparation meets standards
Contribute to controlling costs, improving gross profit margins, and other departmental and financial targets
Report and manage hygiene and hazard issues
A strong focus on maintaining professional standards in food preparation and hygiene is a must.
