Pinctada Hotel is a member of the Paspalay Pearls Group, which was founded in 1952, and is now a diverse assembly of companies. Whilst Paspaley core business is in pearling, including pearl production, wholesale, and retail, it also has extensive involvement and interests in engineering, aviation, agriculture, hospitality and resort accommodation businesses and commercial property.
A unique opportunity exists for an experienced and passionate bar supervisor at the Pinctada Hotel, just minutes from the turquoise waters and white sands of famous Cable Beach. The hotel's in one of WA's most iconic tourist towns is surrounded by the tranquillity of tropical gardens and captures the essence of Broome with its stunning design and luxury facilities.
The Bar Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the hotel bar to ensure exceptional guest service, efficient workflow, and adherence to hotel standards. This role supervises bar staff, maintains inventory control, ensures compliance with health and safety regulations, and supports revenue growth through effective service and upselling.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist the Restaurant Manager to lead, train and motivate the Bar team to ensure high levels of performance, professionalism, and guest service.
* Oversee daily staffing requirements, schedules and assignments, ensuring adequate coverage and operational efficiency.
* Foster a culture of teamwork, respect and accountability among all staff.
* Establish and maintain cleanliness standards in the bar, stores & coolrooms.
* Ensure all stock is rotated to ensure freshness, and wine and beverages are stored at the correct temperatures.
* Oversee inventory and ordering of beverages and consumables.
* Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure that supplies are used efficiently to minimise waste.
* Ensure every team member can sell hotel facilities and is aware of any special promotions.
* Consistently deliver a product and service to meet the quality, standards and expectations of guests whilst delivering the promises made by the Sales Team.
* Work closely with other departments eg Front desk, maintenance & kitchen) to ensure smooth operations and address any cross-departmental issues.
