About the role:

This role sits within the Faculty of Health, School of Psychology, a collaborative and impact-focused environment committed to innovative teaching and research. The School places high emphasis on solution-led research, working closely with industry and government to put findings into practice.

As a Research Assistant, you will:

* Engage collaboratively to provide high level research administration and coordination support
* Assist with completion of research projects, including data collection, analysis, and literature review, ensuring ethical and accurate practices.
* Collaborate with academic and technical staff to deliver research projects and implement quality control procedures.
* Provide administrative support for research projects, including meetings, data management, and project close-out.
* Support researchers across the grant lifecycle, including application preparation, budgeting, reporting, and filing

To be successful, you’ll have:

* An undergraduate and honours/graduate diploma degree in a relevant area (e.g., psychology, cognitive neuroscience), from a recognised university with experience as a research administrator OR an appropriate combination of experience and training.
* Desirable:
o GCP (ICH‑E6) training; familiarity with HREC/ethics processes.
o Experience in trial close‑out, archiving, and records management.
o Qualitative workflows (coding setup, codebooks) and basic data visualisation.
* Proficiency in data collection and analysis software, such as REDCap, Excel (advanced), SPSS or R.
* Strong documentation discipline (protocols, SOPs, minutes, trackers) and meticulous record‑keeping.
* Demonstrated experience conducting research tasks.
* Comfortable performing experiments alone without close guidance or supervision.
