* Salary rate $41.46 per hour plus all casual loadings
* Casual opportunities based at Penrith Whitewater Stadium.

About the role

Casual Activities Instructors provide high quality activities instruction and customer service to clients of the Penrith Whitewater Stadium.

* Liaison and customer support and the opportunity to facilitate activities instruction and conduct activities for Venue clients.
* Working with a diverse range of customers including children, adults, and persons of all abilities from diverse backgrounds.

About you

The ideal candidates will bring to the role;

* Experience delivering high level customer service to a diverse range of client groups.
* A willingness to learn and a can-do attitude.
* Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
* An ability to be a team player and open to collaborating with others.

Candidates will need to be available during weekdays (Mon – Fri) to undertake shifts.

Essential Requirements

* Hold a current qualification in one or more of the following:
* Kayak instruction
o Paddle Australia - Flatwater kayak instructor
o SISOKYK005 Lead kayaking activities on inland flatwater
o Paddle Australia - Whitewater kayak instructor
o SISOKYK008 Lead kayaking activities on grade 3 rivers
* Whitewater rafting
o SISORAF002 Guide a raft on grade 3 rivers and SISORSC005 Rescue others in white water
o International Rafting Federation – Raft guide
* A valid Working with Children Check
* Valid First Aid/CPR certificate or willingness to obtain

It is an expectation that successful candidates have completed or are willing to complete (prior to commencement) one or more of the following courses:

* 4-day learn to kayak course, and 2-day flatwater kayak instructor course
* 6-day raft guide course

To be eligible to apply for this position, you must be an Australian or New Zealand citizen or permanent resident or hold a valid Australian working Visa for the duration of the appointment. Any offer of employment will be subject to a satisfactory National Police Check and Pre-Employment Health Assessment.
