We are seeking a proactive and skilled Maintenance Officer and PCA to support the upkeep and functionality of our facility. In this hands-on role, they will be responsible for a variety of general maintenance tasks, ensuring our setting remains safe, well-maintained, and welcoming for residents, staff, and visitors.
- Reporting to the Manager, they will carry out a range of duties including minor repairs, preventative maintenance, and responding to maintenance requests in a timely and efficient manner.
Dates:
- Either: ASAP or 16/12/25 start
Core Skills:
Maintenance & Repairs
- General handyman skills (e.g. painting, carpentry, minor repairs)
- Preventative and reactive maintenance experience
- Basic plumbing (e.g. replacing washers, connecting appliances)
- Basic electrical knowledge (e.g. testing outlets, replacing batteries)
- Use and maintenance of tools, equipment, and vehicles
- Ability to identify and report major repair needs
- Welding stick/MIG - highly desired
Grounds & Facility Care
- Landscaping and garden maintenance
- Operation of machinery (e.g. lawn mowers, hedge trimmers, chainsaws)
- Irrigation and reticulation system maintenance
- Cleaning and upkeep of facility vehicles
Position Requirements:
- Formal Trade Qualifications or practical work experience, demonstrating basic trade skills
- Current First Aid Certificate
- Manual License holders will be heavily preferred
- Minimum of 2 years previous experience in building/ site maintenance preferred
- Demonstrated knowledge of the understanding of chemical Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) and associated safety precautions
- Demonstrated experience of hand tools, equipment and safety
