This is a permanent, full-time opportunity based at our Newstead Office in Brisbane.Your opportunity:As a Domain Architect - Technology, you're key to shaping the future of technology at EQL. Sitting within the Domain Architecture team, you define and maintain our technology landscape - spanning both legacy systems and emerging innovations - ensuring our architecture aligns with our business strategy and supports our future growth.While your role focuses on developing high-level and detailed architectural specifications, standards, patterns, reference architectures and frameworks, it's also about building consensus, influencing stakeholders, and driving meaningful change. You work closely with senior leaders, operational teams, delivery teams, and fellow architects to shape a cohesive, forward-thinking technology roadmap that underpins EQL's digital transformation.Your key responsibilities include:Developing technology reference architectures, standards, and patterns to guide technology adoption, solution design, and implementation.Championing best practice and mature architectural principles across the business.Engaging with external vendors and suppliers to stay ahead of evolving products, services, and associated technology roadmaps.Providing expert guidance across solution designs, ensuring architecture solutions are practical, scalable, and aligned with business needs.Acting as a trusted advisor, working alongside architects to provide deep technical expertise and architectural leadership.Driving innovation, helping to embed emerging technologies such as AI and cloud-based solutions to accelerate EQL's digital strategy.Your remuneration starts from $184k per annum + 14.75% super for a 9-day fortnight, and from $208k per annum + 14.75% super for a 10-day fortnight.What you'll bring:Relevant tertiary qualifications and certifications including:Essential - A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.Desirable - Formal architecture certifications (e.g., TOGAF or those from major cloud/technology providers).As for your technical expertise, we need you to have:A strong technical background in architecture with 5+ years' hands-on experience delivering end-to-end digital solutions within large, complex organisational environments.A proven track record in conducting thorough options analysis, developing and implementing technology roadmaps, and designing solutions that solve complex problems and deliver customer value.Experience in designing and implementing complex enterprise solutions with expertise in majority of the following technologies:Microsoft's M365 ecosystem including SharePoint Online, Exchange and Teams;Microsoft Modern Workplace technologies and capabilities;Microsoft's Power Platform; andMicrosoft Active Directory / EntraID.Experience working across a contemporary digital environment built on hybrid cloud-based solutions and technology, including technologies such as:Microsoft Azure and AWS Services;Infrastructure and Virtualisation; andNetworking, Storage, and Databases.To complement your technical expertise, you also bring:Outstanding communication and stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to facilitate discussions, negotiate effectively, and build productive relationships across the business.A talent for translating complex technical requirements into clear, actionable solutions.Confidence in presenting to both technical and non-technical audiences.A pragmatic and adaptable approach, knowing when to push for the right solution and when to adjust to business needs.A commitment to continuous learning, staying ahead of industry trends, and keeping up with the latest technological advancements.What matters most?
