Join our dynamic central region CT Team as a Full-Time CT Assistant, where you'll play a crucial role in delivering high-quality, patient-centred care and undertaking cannulations.
About the role
As a CT Assistant, you will report to the CT Team Leader and collaborate closely with healthcare professionals to ensure exceptional patient care and efficient operations. Your key responsibilities will include:
Duties Include, but not limited to:
* Performing cannulations and providing patient care while adhering to Benson Radiology's Policies, Procedures, and Protocols
* Analysing request forms and assist staff to ensure the appropriate examination is performed to obtain optimal information
* Consulting with colleagues and Radiologists as needed
* Supporting CT Radiographers, nursing, and clinical staff by preparing patients for imaging examinations, including manual handling and positioning
* Assessing bookings and workflows proactively to maximise efficiency, while remaining flexible to accommodate urgent cases and walk-in patients
* Contributing to a highly skilled, multidisciplinary team to deliver outstanding, patient-centred care
About You:
You thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy being part of a welcoming, multi-disciplinary team. You will possess:
* Proven ability in cannulation or relevant experience in venepuncture
* Experience managing scheduled appointments and ensuring seamless workflow
* Strong verbal communication skills
* Problem-solving and decision-making capabilities
* Familiarity with radiology imaging systems (e.g., COMRAD, PACS) is a plus, but not essential
* Valid CPR certification or a willingness to obtain it
* Ability to interact professionally with patients, team members and other stakeholders
* You must be Flexible, resilient, and adaptive to change
