We are actively seeking a dynamic Senior Category Manager to join our team focusing on our kitchenware portfolio.With a core focus on our kitchenware products and brands, you will be reporting into the Head of Merchandise. This pivotal role will be responsible for the buying, development and procurement of product and ranges for the Global Retail Brands business, in line with the company’s strategic direction — with a strong focus on driving sales, margin and stock performance.This is not just about managing a category — we’re looking for a true retail trader. Someone with their finger on the pulse, who understands the dynamics of trade, anticipates market movements, keeps a close eye on what other retailers are doing and leads the category with innovation and agility.Key responsibilities of the role will include but not be limited to:Strategic Category Leadership: Develop and lead the strategic direction for our kitchenware category, aligning product buying, development, and procurement with the company’s long-term visionPromotional and Trading Strategy: Design and implement comprehensive promotional programs, planning initiatives a full 12 months in advance while remaining adaptable to market changesPerformance Analytics & Reporting: Lead daily and weekly reviews of performance metrics, synthesizing data into actionable insights that drive forward trading and promotional adjustmentsVisual Merchandising & Market Insights: Strategically plan visual merchandising for promotions and core lines, ensuring that presentation supports optimal return on investmentTeam Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement: Provide strategic guidance and mentorship to a team of category managers and retail traders, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and high accountabilityAbout you:Minimum of 2–4 years’ experience working as a Category Manager or in a similar buying/product roleStrong technical product knowledge with a focus on product quality and continuous improvementProven commercial acumen and a passion for retail tradingStrong analytical and planning skills with the ability to pivot quickly based on performance and trendsExceptional attention to detail, organisation, and time managementConfident working in a fast-paced and collaborative team environmentA background in retail is highly advantageous, particularly within kitchenware or homewaresThis full-time position offers the opportunity for a passionate Senior Category Manager to join a fast-paced, highly dynamic design team and environment, and to help support and contribute towards the growth of Global Retail Brands.
