Job Description
The role will include but not be limited to:
* Manage the preparation and review of financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulations.
* Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes, maintaining adherence to deadlines.
* Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and liaise with external auditors as needed.
* Monitor and manage cash flow, forecasting, and budgeting to support financial planning.
* Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency in financial operations.
* Provide leadership and mentorship to the accounting team, fostering professional growth.
* Collaborate with other departments to support business objectives and financial decision-making.
* Prepare and present detailed financial reports to senior management.
The Successful Applicant
A Successful Financial Accounting Manager Should Have
* Tertiary qualifications in accounting, finance, or a related field.
* CA or CPA certification (or working towards).
* Strong technical accounting knowledge, including compliance with Australian accounting standards.
* Exceptional analytical skills with attention to detail.
* Proficiency in financial systems and software, with advanced Excel skills.
* Proven ability to manage teams and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
* Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with stakeholders
