The Role
We're seeking a hands-on Accountant who enjoys owning the end-to-end accounting function for a group of SME businesses. Working flexibility from either our Busselton or Bunbury offices, you'll take responsibility for financial processing, compliance, payroll, and operational support across the Group.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee all daily bookkeeping and accounting functions across multiple entities
* Prepare monthly Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet reconciliations
* Maintain weekly cashflows for multiple entities
* Complete all statutory lodgements and reporting
* Maintain lease and asset registers
* Manage weekly payroll processing and related reporting
* Assist with employee onboarding
* Provide administrative and procurement support to our workshop team
* Support annual Main Roads Heavy Vehicle & ISO accreditation audits and compliance
* Handle administrative and compliance tasks for the Heavy Haulage division (fatigue management, maintenance records, loading/dimensions, etc.)
* Assist with policy and procedure updates and audit preparation
About You
You're an organised, proactive accounting professional who enjoys variety and takes pride in accuracy and efficiency. You'll bring:
* Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar accounting role
* Strong interpersonal and time-management skills
* Experience in transport or construction (highly regarded but not essential)
* A can-do attitude and willingness to handle both high-level and day-to-day tasks
