Job Overview:
* This Senior Structural Transmission Line Engineer will work on diverse projects including wind, solar, battery storage, pumped hydro and utilities works (transmission and distribution substations, switchyards and lines).
* The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years' experience in structural (Lattice structures) design work, with a particular emphasis on transmission line and substation structural design work.
About the Role:
This senior engineer will be responsible for designing and developing conductor loads for transmission and substation structures, as well as analyzing lattice towers, pole and gantry structures.
Key Requirements:
1. Tertiary qualifications in Civil or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent), acceptable for admission as a professional engineer to Engineers Australia, or equivalent professional body.
2. Strong knowledge of Australian Standards: AS/NZS 7000, AS 4100, AS 3600, AS 3995 and AS 1170.
3. Sound experience in the use of computer design packages such as PLS Tower, PLS Pole; Development of conductor loads for transmission and substation structures.
4. Experience in existing tower augmentation and strengthening works for TL upgradation projects.
