Griffin Marine Services Pty Ltd is a leading provider of painting and blasting services for over 40 clients across Australia, including major Defence and commercial contractors. We work on a variety of ships and vessels, both nationally and internationally, as well as industrial projects. We are currently looking for experienced painters to join our growing team, in Prestons, NSW. We offer casual roles with the potential to become permanent and competitive rates.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
Responsibilities:
* Prepare surfaces for painting using water and sand blasting and mechanical preparation
* Ensure all work complies with project specifications and meets quality standards
* Work collaboratively with team members on various projects
* Skilled in applying coatings via spray, brush, and roller techniques
* Strong attention to detail to ensure high-quality finishes
* Ability to follow project specifications and uphold quality standards
* Knowledge of safety protocols and compliance with health and safety regulations
* Excellent time management and ability to meet deadlines
* Strong communication and teamwork skills for successful project collaboration
* Ability to troubleshoot and resolve painting-related issues efficiently
Qualifications and Skills:
* At least 2 years of painting experience, with a preference for those skilled in water and sand blasting.
* Certificate III in Surface Preparation and Coating Application - desirable
* OHS Construction Induction White Card - essential
* Elevating Work Platform License (EWP) - desirable
* Working at Heights certification (WAH) - desirable
* Able to successfully pass drug and alcohol testing and eligible to obtain and maintain a current National Police Clearance - essential.
