About the role
:
·Possess, or be eligible to possess, specialist registration with the Medical Board of Australia;
·Possess Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians or equivalent;
·Demonstrated knowledge, skills and high standards of clinical practice in medical oncology commensurate to experience which is appropriate to the requirements of the position with particular expertise and interest in clinical trials and their application across medical oncology
·Experience in and evidence of conducting high quality research (basic, translational and / or clinical trials) with a demonstrated ongoing contribution to the development, dissemination, and translation of new knowledge and practices commensurate with work in an academic teaching hospital environment;
·Leadership skills that build teams, embrace change, earn professional respect, and foster loyalty;
·Ability to provide sensitive, well-communicated and compassionate medical care as evidenced by recent experience in working congenially and collaboratively as both a leader and member of a multidisciplinary team, and as a provider of clinical services that engender high levels of positive patient feedback;
·Demonstrated commitment to teaching at specialty registrar, junior medical officer and undergraduate levels;
·Personal integrity and demonstrated commitment to the Philosophy, Mission and Values of Mary Aikenhead Ministries.
