About The Role
We’re seeking a values-driven Facilities Maintenance Worker to maintain the property and facilities of the Dooralong Centre. This hands-on role involves general maintenance, supporting participants in a work therapy setting, maintaining equipment, ensuring WHS compliance, and helping keep the grounds safe and secure.
This is a permanent full time position, reporting to the Service Manager the salary and conditions are in accordance with the SCHADS Award Level 3.
You will successfully
* Supervise and support the maintenance of the grounds, ensuring they’re kept to a high standard with preventative measures in place.
* Maintain and care for all equipment used in daily maintenance tasks.
* Assist DTC staff in training program participants and volunteers in practical on-site skills such as carpentry, general farm work, and stock handling.
* Monitor and manage property access for visitors related to maintenance activities.
* Ensure the site is safe by following TSA Work Health and Safety procedures and policies and actively identifying and reducing hazards.
* Work collaboratively with the team, attend staff meetings, and contribute to a supportive and effective work environment.
You will have
* Experience in coordinating and supervising the work of tradesmen
* 2+ years of experience in a grounds keeping or similar role
* Knowledge/Experience in farm management or stock handling
* Current Heavy Vehicle Drivers Licence
