The ideal candidate will be a supply chain professional who has worked in the rail industry, with highly developed communication skills and the ability to draw upon their procurement knowledge, supply chain and problem solving skills to improve and maintain stock availability in supporting and delivering our Xtrap project. This includes material planning, expediting, logistics and warehouse operations.

Key responsibilities include:
\
1. Drive people development roadmap including skills assessment, training and qualification to strengthen supply chain capabilities
\
2. Prepare and manage functional budgets; oversee end-to-end material planning from delivery schedules to on-time part delivery
\
3. Establish performance metrics for supply chain tracking
\
4. Develop policies to increase efficiency throughout the supply chain while ensuring quality and safety of delivery
\
5. Manage inventory supply and forecasting, driving towards best practice 'inventory planning and management' principles to achieve cost objectives as well as excellence in service levels
\
6. Monitor the performance of suppliers, assessing their ability to meet quality and delivery requirements in collaboration with other departments
\
7. Build strong collaborative relationships with key functional areas of the business

8. Develop a good working culture that embraces standard operating procedure compliance, continuous improvement, idea generation, innovation and collaboration

9. Establish relationships with global forwarders and suppliers to ensure smooth product supply
