About The Role

As the Leader for our Overhead Distribution network for our North West region, you'll lead a team of dedicated field professionals who deliver safe, reliable electricity to our communities every day. You'll bring clarity, confidence and connection — ensuring your people are supported to perform at their best while driving consistency, efficiency and safety across our operations.
In this pivotal leadership role, you'll lead the North West Overhead Distribution Group to safely and efficiently deliver TasNetworks' Program of Work. You'll build a high‑performing, safety‑focused team, developing leadership capability and fostering collaboration across the state.
You'll oversee safe, compliant and cost‑effective delivery of all work programs, driving performance in productivity, quality and utilisation. With a focus on continuous improvement and transformation, you'll champion change that delivers better outcomes for customers and TasNetworks alike.
You'll provide calm, decisive leadership during network faults and emergencies, and build strong partnerships with internal stakeholders, industry bodies and community representatives to ensure consistent, reliable delivery across North West Tasmania.
About You
You're an experienced and authentic leader with a proven ability to inspire confidence, bring people together, and deliver results. You'll also have:
* Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Business or a related discipline — or extensive leadership experience in a similar operational role.
* Strong leadership experience within the power industry or other complex, high‑risk operational environments.
* Demonstrated success developing high‑performing teams and future leaders.
* Proven ability to manage large budgets and deliver strong commercial outcomes.
* A track record of driving safety leadership, business improvement and change.
* Confidence in managing major fault restorations and significant incident investigations.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills — able to engage at all levels with honesty, clarity and credibility.
* A customer‑first mindset that reflects TasNetworks' commitment to the Energy Charter.
