About the Role

Are you a creative individual with a passion for social media, story telling and content creation? If so, we invite you to embark on a rare opportunity as our next Digital Communications Coordinator - Social Media.

As the Digital Communications Coordinator - Social Media, you will collaborate with our highly skilled Digital Student Engagement team to create organic social media content that effectively promotes student opportunities and support to a current student audience throughout their academic journey. You will contribute to build a strong sense of community, enhance student engagement, and foster a supportive environment.

In this role you will work across a broad range of creative and strategic communications projects and support the University with communications requests across a variety of portfolios, involving diverse stakeholders throughout the University.

The Digital Communications Coordinator - Social Media role collaborates closely with our internal Video Production team on digital content production, and you will also have the rewarding opportunity to work with and mentor students through our Earn While You Learn program.


Your responsibilities will include

* Plan, develop and implement communications strategies.
* Research, write and edit digital communications for a variety of audiences across one or more channels, including websites, social media, screen networks and direct 1:1 communications.
* Develop a content plan for relevant social media platforms and student focused web pages to support the overall student communications strategy.
* Grow audiences and engagement across social media platforms through effective and engaging content.
* Create, update and publish written, image and video content on social media channels and ensure information is accurate, relevant and complies with Curtin guidelines as well as industry best practices.
* Report, analyse and optimize all content produced and share results with relevant stakeholders.


Who we are looking for (selection criteria)

* Demonstrated experience in managing a range of social media platforms, including social media listening and community management.
* Proven ability to plan, implement and evaluate communication and engagement strategies.
* Demonstrated professional writing skills, with experience in developing and delivering digital content.
* Outstanding organisational skills, able to manage time and juggle multiple tasks to meet deadlines.
* Well-developed interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team and build positive relationships with colleagues and clients.


Role Requirements

As this is a fixed-term contract, you will require current work rights in Australia that match the tenure of this role.
