Overview
We are seeking an experienced Contract Manager to oversee complex commercial contracts and financial assistance arrangements. This role involves evaluating business performance, managing obligations, mitigating risks, and providing strategic advice.
Responsibilities
- Conduct financial, risk, and due diligence assessments of investment proposals and funding requests.
- Negotiate, draft, and administer commercial contracts while ensuring compliance and protecting interests.
- Monitor contract performance, manage risks, and provide practical solutions for non-performing arrangements.
- Prepare reports and deliver clear advice to senior stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Tertiary qualification in accounting, finance, or related discipline.
- Experience in financial analysis, interpreting statements, and financial modelling.
- Proven ability to manage complex commercial contracts and draft qualified correspondence.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word and Excel).
- Knowledge of finance, contract law fundamentals, and risk management principles.
- Membership of a relevant professional body (e.g., Chartered Accountants) is desirable.
- Experience in debt recovery, managing non-performing loans, and exposure to both public and private sectors is advantageous.
- Awareness of economic development objectives is beneficial.

Casual Loading
Please note for all Australian based contract and temporary roles only, the pay rate is inclusive of mandatory 25% casual loading. This excludes permanent and fixed term roles.
