Role Overview:
The Haulage Manager position plays a pivotal role in the efficient delivery of quarry products to various mine sites and locations across the Bowen Basin.
This key role oversees daily haulage operations, ensures compliance with regulations, and manages a team of both employees and subcontractors.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in haulage management or logistics, strong leadership skills, and a deep understanding of regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
* Fleet Management: Oversee scheduling, truck allocation, and delivery coordination to ensure seamless operations.
* Workforce Management: Lead and develop a team of drivers and subcontractors to achieve business objectives.
* Maintenance and Compliance: Organize truck servicing and repairs while ensuring strict adherence to NHVR and safety protocols.
* Customer Liaison: Maintain strong relationships with clients and ensure delivery requirements are met efficiently.
* Reporting and Performance Monitoring: Track key performance indicators and provide regular operational updates.
Requirements:
* Experience: A minimum of 5 years in haulage management or logistics is essential for this role.
* Leadership Skills: Ability to manage and mentor teams in a fast-paced environment.
* Regulatory Knowledge: Strong understanding of NHVR, fatigue management, and heavy vehicle compliance.
* Fleet and Maintenance Expertise: Experience managing truck schedules, servicing, and repairs.
* Qualifications and Licences: S11, Coal Board Medical, and MC Driver's Licence (highly desired).
