Financial Accountant (Financial Reporting & Taxation)More excellence, less vanilla As a Financial Accountant, you will join a team that supports all aspects of the RBA's financial and taxation reporting requirements. Reporting to the Manager, Reporting & Taxation you will be part of a collaborative, high-performing team of 4 team peers who are motivated to achieve goals and deliver quality oues for the RBA, relating to areas including financial reporting, taxation, sustainability reporting and superannuation. You will assist with preparing the Bank's financial reporting, sustainability reporting and taxation obligations, and ensuring these are met in an efficient and accurate manner. You will arrive with experience to provide timely reporting and advice to the RBA on various reporting and taxation issues. Your background Experience with the preparation of annual financial statements and regular internal reporting, including balance sheet reconciliations, reviewing the Bank's accounting transactions and capitalisation processes. Experience in taxation reporting, including the preparation of GST and FBT returns. Experience or interest in sustainability reporting and the developing disclosure frameworks. Demonstrated ability to provide value-add analysis and advice of accounting standards and other financial reporting and taxation requirements. Up to date knowledge of relevant Australian and International accounting and sustainability standards. Up to date knowledge of GST and FBT legislation, particularly in relation to financial transactions. Experience of financial and taxation reporting within an equivalent financial or banking institution. Tertiary qualifications in accounting or relevant field are essential, and CA/CPA qualified membership highly desirable. Intermediate-Advanced level of Microsoft Excel skills essential. Experience with OneSource, Power BI and PeopleSoft is highly desirable. Your team You will report to the Manager, Reporting & Taxation and will work with a team of financial accountants.
