**PRIMARY OBJECTIVE**
The Funeral Assistant provides professional support services to the client families, guests and general public attendees to funerals conducted by H.Parsons and associated companies (Rankins, Wollongong City and Stan Crapp Funerals) according to the documented policies and procedures of H.Parsons.
**SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITIES**
The key accountabilities of the Funeral Assistant relate to the management of:
Participation in team meetings with Principal, Partners and Professional staff in planning business matters
Provision of reports as required by Principal, Partners and Professional staff to demonstrate performance in.
Supervision of viewings
Transferring of deceased
Body preparation
Casketing of deceased persons
Supervision of funerals and staff
Coordination of work
Vehicle Maintenance
General cleaning duties
Staffing issues
Client status
**Specific Duties and Responsibilities**:
Manual tasks Supervision of viewings, transferring deceased persons, body preparation, casketing of deceased persons, supervision of funerals and staff, co-ordination of work - transfers, funerals, etc., general cleaning duties, vehicle cleaning and maintenance, trimming of coffins
Information Handling Arranging funerals, pre-arranging funerals, administrative functions including arranging and planning funerals, organizing clergy, doctors, organists, cemeteries, crematoriums, etc.
Ensure efficient distribution of files and records Maintain security of filing system. Identify information sources inside and outside the organization
Communication Receive and process a request for information. Identify information sources. Compose reports/correspondence
On occasion, assist with the cremation duties at Mountain View Crematoria
Enterprise Provide information on current service provision. Resource allocation within area of responsibility. Identify trends in client requirements
Organisational Manage diary. Assist with appointment preparation and follow up for others. Organise business itinerary
Team Plan work for the team. Allocate tasks to members of the team. Provide training for team members

Information Technology Utilise Software and Hardware, including office and business equipment.
Marketing & Promotion Assist in planning only the task is managed by the Principals of H.Parsons Funeral Directors. Suggested planning meeting monthly.
Manage Office Procedures Update and monitor Funeral procedures and documenting of same.
