Role Description
This is a full‐time on‐site role for a Process Development Chemist based in Adelaide, SA, working as part of a collaborative team including R&D and Production. The role involves performing polymer and nanoparticle synthesis, modification, and purification, designing and conducting experiments into the scale‐up and optimisation of nanoparticle and polymer processes, characterising materials using analytical techniques such as GPC/SEC, DLS, HPLC, NMR, FTIR, TEM and TGA, assist in purchasing, installation and qualification of materials and new laboratory equipment, maintaining and calibrating laboratory equipment, research into the synthesis of polymers and magnetic nanoparticles, assisting with writing reports for submission to regulatory bodies, and performing other duties as required by the R&D Manager.
Qualifications
* Bachelor's in Chemistry or other relevant discipline
* Experience working in a manufacturing facility preferably in pharmaceuticals/medical devices
* Experience in nanoparticle and polymer synthesis and analysis.
* High attention to detail with strong problem‐solving skills.
* A strong team player with effective communication verbal and written skills.
* Previous experience in an analytical environment.
* Ability to work independently, with good organisation and time management skills to ensure timely delivery of activities.
* Knowledge and understanding of safe handling of chemicals.
* Proficient with MS Office suite, Google suite and ChemWatch.
